On May 23, 2017, the TPSA gender team conducted a gender awareness workshop for 24 officials from the Ministry of Trade. The objective of the training was to orient MoT staff with basic gender concepts and why it is important and relevant to the mandate of the ministry. The workshop covered basic gender concepts (gender equality, gender equity, gender mainstreaming) as well as gender issues (gender division of labour, bias, stereotype, discrimination, sexual harassment, marginalization, low paying jobs).
